Chart notes

PUBLIUS broke up front, showed the way into the first turn toward the inside, set a lively set of fractions while under light restraint, remained clear through the final turn, not threatened through the lane while kept to pressure. DON'TASK DON'TTELL raced in mid pack while off the inside, moved out three wide late in the second turn, launched a steady rally to be up late for the second spot while not a threat to the winner. OPTIMUS KAT settled off the pace along the inside, angled out three wide late in the second turn when moving a bit closer, closer still past the furlong marker then could not keep pace to the wire, caught late for the runner up spot. MAASAI WARRIOR broke back, lacked speed while saving ground, swung four wide into the stretch, improved position a bit in the final furlong without posing a serious threat. KING ARTHUR RIDGE fell back to trail after the start, continued to lag the middle half mile, picked off a couple of tiring rivals while not a factor. RUSSELLS HUSTLE back off the pace while three wide through the first turn, continued one paced, tired through the stretch. WAYLON'S GUITAR closest to the winner for a half, staged a steady retreat thereafter.
