Chart notes
ISLAND CABANA forwardly placed while off the inside, continued to stalk the leader onto and up the backstretch, took over in the two path into the far turn, dueled with REGATTA BAY into the stretch inside that one, found more the final furlong and held sway late under steady handling. BALLINONABUDJET in the second flight saving ground first turn, moved out a bit and raced in the two path into the far turn, dropped back to the rail late in the bend, cut the corner to get closer to the winner into the lane, could not do much more with that one the final furlong, held sway for the place. REGATTA BAY broke back, moved up a bit while four wide through the first turn, continued on the outside up the backstretch, launched a four wide move through the second bend to reach contention, dueled into the stretch outside the winner, stalled the final furlong. Z'S GUITAR lacked speed while three wide through the first turn, remained back into the far bend while one again three wide, improved position while posing no threat to the top trio through the lane. KEE JEE void of speed, continued back in the two path far turn, moved to the rail, improved by saving ground into the stretch, moved back out, went evenly the final furlong. LITTLE WARRIOR lacked early speed, trailed into the lane while in the two path, picked off a pair of faltering foes after the issue had been decided. SIR MACK broke out, raced four wide into the first turn, dropped inside, in some traffic onto the backstretch along the inside, improved position through the second turn, chased the top three past the furlong marker and then faltered. DOGWOOD CROSSING broke on top, showed the way into the first turn, clear through that bend, continued to set the pace backstretch, stopped when headed by the winner in the far turn.
