Chart notes
PERFECT ALMOST was forwardly placed through early stages, moved up at the quarter pole, roused to the lead turning for home, took on the challenge from outside running DISCREET RIDER in the final furlong, dug in gamely and held firm. DISCREET RIDER was off slow at the start, steadily advanced into closer contention, raced in aim for the late lead but could not get by the game winner. JUST TOO tracked the early leaders, came three to four wide into the head of the lane, angled in two wide, ran on and cleared the rest. FREEZING 'EM OUT sprinted to a early lead, took on the challenge from the eventual winner at the quarter pole, got collared turning for home and gave way. OUT IN THE MIDDLE chased two wide between foes entering the turn, angled to the rail past the quarter pole and faded. JUST GOOD CENTS raced two wide and never threatened. FALSE START failed to move into contention.
