Chart notes

SARATOGA GOLD got over from the outer post to have a clear lead on the fence by the five eighths pole, slowed the tempo down having company outside when a trio of rivals closed in at the half, was let out a notch edging away on the rail count up to the turn, calmly controlled the pace with the rider sitting chilly inside with outsides foes chasing at the five sixteenths pole, spurted away once again when having the lines shook up two wide at the top of the lane and kept to the task late comfortably holding on for the gate to wire win. WINNING WIZARD had a good spot on the fence paired up with an outside foe watching the contentious quartet slug it out down the backside, made a sharp rail rally advancing inside through the turn, hugged the rail posing the main opposition turning for home, kept trying to the wire but could not get to the more seasoned winner in the late stages. FLATTER ZIP initially was in midfield between runners, took back smartly watching the dueling foursome outside with a fellow rival midway along the backside, improved slightly on the fence in midturn, shifted to the two path in with a chance for a piece of the prize between runners in upper stretch and finished up with intent but was well back of the lead duo being a distant third in the end. FURNIUS had the four path sitting in mid-division in the beginning stages, closed in between runners three wide part of the early scramble up top at the half, regressed two wide at the midpoint of the turn unable to keep up to the front three runners, had the rail in mid-stretch battling for third money but lost he duel in the final seventy yards taking only a minor share home at the wire. TOO FAB FOR YOU pressed the pace inside leaving the chute, then was reined back moving to the outside re-engaging the frontrunner at the half, continued to chase in earnest outside two wide around the bend, drifted to the four path straightening out for the stretch drive, battled outside for the show award at the furlong pole but faded in the late going. STREET SAVANT was void of early foot seeing the field along the back straightaway, offered a mild spurt two wide passing a runner coming to the quarter pole, angled out five wide for the drive but failed to menace in the stretch running. BAYTOWN DA VINCI progressed going four deep along the backstretch prompting the pace outside three rivals by the half mile pole, dropped back unable to keep up with the lead threesome by the seven sixteenths marker, continued to retreat while going three to four wide around the oval to trail by the quarter pole and could not factor being wrapped up on in the last eighth of a mile.
