Chart notes
IMMA GOING TO WIN broke forwardly, pressed the issue early from along the inside under a stout hold, put a head in front late backstretch, showed the way through the lane, pulled away steadily in upper stretch and maintained a comfortable advantage the final furlong while kept to task. MARINA'S GOLD moved well out in the strip out of the chute, was four wide into the lane, three wide when roused late in the bend, idled upper stretch then made a gradual gain on the winner late while well clear of the others. BEAUTIFUL JANET broke on top, showed the way exiting the chute out in the strip, briefly dueled with the winner into the turn then could not keep up, weakened in the drive to give up the second spot while remaining well clear of the other two. COUNTRY BELLE fell back to trail after the start, was never a serious factor while racing toward the inside. MIZ JAMESON off slowly, was taken well wide for the run up the backstretch, six wide through the turn when disinterested, continued well back, jogged in.
