Chart notes
VICTORIOUS VANDA was sharp early but soon relegated to a stalking spot by BIZZEE CHANNEL, stalked the pace inside of MENDELSSOHN JOY, rallied in the three path between horses on the third turn from near the seven sixteenths, took the lead past the three eighths, and kept finding enough under a drive in the lane to keep his foes at bay. MENDELSSOHN JOY tracked the pace outside of VICTORIOUS VANDA, attempted to mount a three-wide rally outside of VICTORIOUS VANDA on the third turn, could not match that foe's move to the lead, chased the winner while racing outside of BIZZEE CHANNEL the rest of the way and ket on second best under a drive. BIZZEE CHANNEL was keen to the lead into the first turn, continued to set the pace until headed by VICTORIOUS VANDA to his outside near the three eighths, chased on under a drive inside of MENDELSSOHN JOY but could not outfinish that foe for the place. VAN GINKEL settled at the rear early, continued inside of FOUND JORDAN to form the rear flight through the second turn, raced in the four path with the rear group on the third turn, swung out near the center of the track for the drive and improved belatedly. HIGH RANSOM chased just behind the tracking flight early, continued to chase behind that group, raced three and then two wide between horses into the third turn, swung four wide between horses into the lane and chased on mildly under a drive. MANSOURA settled inside horses near the rear, improved position between horses approaching the third turn, came in near the three eighths, causing RAMBLINGAMBLINMAN to check, tracked in the two path into the final turn, could not keep pace with the leading trio approaching the turn for home, was driven into the lane and proved no further factor. FOUND JORDAN took up early when BIZZEE CHANNEL cut inward while sending to the lead, was hard to settle after that, chased the pace outside HIGH RANSOM and RAMBLINGAMBLINMAN, settled back to the rear flight outside VAN GINKEL for the second turn, continued with the rear group in the four to five path on the third turn, swung out near the center of the track for the drive and had no rally. RAMBLINGAMBLINMAN chased between horses through the first turn, continued midpack inside until MANSOURA came inward near the three eighths, causing him to check and back out of contention, and had nothing left for the drive. TREBLE CLEF raced two wide near the rear on the first turn, continued between near the rear the first time down the stretch, improved to midfield two wide around the second turn, was four and then three wide as the field took closer order, raced three wide on the last turn, was driven into the lane and came up empty between horses.
