Chart notes

FIESTY FIST broke running, set a soft pace up the backstretch in the two path, continued to show the way turn, put closest pursuer away as REGATTA BAY came calling from the outside inside the furlong marker, came out a couple of lanes under a left handed crop to brush and bother that same rival, dueled to the wire, gained the nod. REGATTA BAY last away, raced in the second flight also off the inside, steered out to be four wide turning for home, challenged on the outside with less than a furlong remaining, brushed and bothered by FIESTY FIST when that one came out late, closed on equal terms with that same rival, missed the nod at the wire. BRON AND BROW prompted the pace through some soft fractions in the three path, advanced and challenged the leader late in the turn, dueled into and through upper stretch then yielded from between the top pair with less than a furlong remaining. LOST DA VINCI back off the pace out in the strip, four wide late in the turn and into the stretch, went evenly to the wire in lacking a closing response. ALL TOGETHER fell back to trail after the start well out in the strip, showed little while racing four wide. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE RUN THROUGH DEEP STRETCH AND CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF REGATTA BAY AGASINT FIESTY FIST FOR INTERFERENCE LATE, THE LATTER WAS DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST AND PLACED SECOND.
