Chart notes
ROCK N ROLL BOLT tracked the pace four-wide to the half, was being coaxed along midway, moved up in range of the leaders heading into the turn, then dueled with KING OF KENTUCKY late through the turn and into the stretch, then edged a head in the final yards to prevail. KING OF KENTUCKY dueled three-wide down the backstretch with ROCK N ROLL BOLT, then gave way grudgingly in the final stages while holding second clear of the next horse. MUNNY TOWN stumbled at the start, raced mid-pack to the midpoint of the contest, moved up approaching the quarter pole, and chased the top two to the finish with some interest. GERALDRAYDAPLEGRAY settled at the back and never offered a rally, passed a tired foe in deep stretch. UNCAPTURED PULSE dueled along the rail for the first half-mile, gave way approaching the quarter pole, had nothing left for the stretch run and faded to last.
