Chart notes
PARLAY seized the early advantage and controlled the pace, was allowed a breather through the middle stages, then quickened away from MIZ KEETA heading into the far turn, opened a commanding advantage and drew off through the stretch under mild handling. BETTER HALF settled at the rear but remained within range, continued to bide time while saving ground through the far turn, then rallied willingly along the inside through the stretch to gain the place while never posing a threat to the winner. OUR LAST SONG settled in the middle of the compact field, remained within range through the middle stages, came under pressure on the far turn and finished willingly through the stretch, but was unable to match BETTER HALF for the place. MIZ KEETA moved up approaching the five-furlong pole to press PARLAY, remained on that rival's flank through the middle stages, then was unable to go with the winner when that one quickened away heading into the far turn and weakened through the stretch.
