Chart notes
BREAKHEART PASS settled behind the dueling leaders in the second flight, remained within range through the turn, slipped through along the rail near the three-sixteenths pole when SAMURAI SWORD drifted out, quickly took command and drew clear through the late stages. LITTLE TRUCK lacked early speed and settled near the rear while saving ground, came under coaxing to keep pace through the early stages, went into a full drive from the three-eighths pole and rallied along the inside through the stretch to gain the place. RULE THE ROOST raced in the second flight alongside BREAKHEART PASS behind the dueling leaders, was unable to go with that rival when BREAKHEART PASS kicked on approaching the three-eighths pole, came under a drive and lost some ground, then came back on with a three-wide rally through the late stages to gain third. SAMURAI SWORD dueled with EL NOTIONAL through the early stages while lugging out as the pair raced clear of the others, continued to lug out two to three paths into the stretch and left an opening along the rail, then weakened through the late stages. COME HERE KARL settled toward the rear, lost ground through the middle stages and passed tiring rivals through the late stages. SKEDAZZLE settled with the trailing group through the early stages and failed to make an impact through the late stages. EL NOTIONAL dueled with SAMURAI SWORD through the early stages while clear of the others, remained involved through the middle stages, then gave way through the stretch. HEARTACHES got roughed up after the start, trailed through the early stages, improved slightly approaching the stretch but failed to make an impact.
