Chart notes

KICK IT IN settled in the middle of the pack, began to close on the top pair approaching the stretch, steadily cut into the leader's advantage and was up in the final strides. GLACIAL POWER seized the early lead and was left to dictate moderate fractions, responded when asked to quicken late on the turn, battled gamely when confronted by CANDY ADDICTION near the quarter pole, bested that rival by midstretch but could not hold off the winner. CANDY ADDICTION tracked GLACIAL POWER through the tepid pace, moved to challenge that rival for the lead after passing the three-furlong pole, chased in vain through the stretch without being able to pull even, then weakened in the final furlong. MONEY AGENT tracked near the back, was outfinished through the stretch and unable to improve. MIDNIGHT TEQUILA settled at the back, remained in range to the stretch, but lacked a rally and was never a threat.
