Chart notes
FOND FAREWELL got brushed at the break by ATTFIELD, who recovered outwards from a bobble, showed the way in hand just off the inside until tucked inside through the turn, remained patiently handled and took the inside route into upper stretch, got roused inside the three-sixteenths marker and drew clear under a drive before being geared down in the late stages. ATTFIELD bobbled at the break recovering outwards into FOND FAREWELL, chased three paths off the inside until tucked inside into the turn, tipped out to the two path midway on the turn, angled four wide into upper stretch, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to procure the place honors. CANDYTOWN stumbled at the start, chased just off the inside and then along the inside, spun three wide into upper stretch in behind a rival, tipped out two paths just inside the three-sixteenths marker roused for the drive and improved position to the finish. ICE CHOCOLAT (BRZ) coaxed from the gate, chased four paths off the rail down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coaxed along from three furlongs out, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the final furlong. WAR STRIDE stumbled at the start, chased six paths off the inside early on, tucked in a path and placed JOHN JAY in tight forcing that rival to bump with RUN CURTIS RUN just inside five and a half furlongs to run, tipped back to the six path for the remainder of the backstretch before tucking five then four wide through the turn, came under urging with five-sixteenths to go, angled six wide into upper stretch and weakened. JOHN JAY chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch, had the aforementioned foe tuck inwards and was put in tight between foes and bumped RUN CURTIS RUN just inside five and a half furlongs remaining, tucked three wide through the turn and came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide for home and weakened in the stretch. RUN CURTIS RUN four paths off the inside in pursuit down the backstretch, got bumped by JOHN JAY when WAR STRIDE briefly tucked in from the outside just inside five and a half furlongs to go, chased three wide through the turn and then four to five wide into upper stretch and tired through to the finish.
