Chart notes

MEMPHIS SLIM hustled to contest the early pace from the inside, was caught in tight approaching the turn and angled to the two path entering the bend, re-bid and vied between foes at the quarter marker, met the bid of TOM'S SPIRIT into the stretch, repelled the runner-up past the furlong marker then kept to task in the final sixteenth for a determined win. TOM'S SPIRIT pinched at the start, recovered and sat in the second flight along the backstretch, mounted a three wide move into the turn then vied for the lead at the quarter pole, battled into upper stretch then turned away at the furlong marker, was kept at bay into the final sixteenth but fought on late and held well for the place. ULTRA VIOLENCE rated off of the early pace and tracked the leading pair from the second flight approaching the turn, chased three to four wide nearing the quarter marker, ran in pursuit to mid-stretch then closed willingly into the final sixteenth, couldn't reel in the top two late but was a well clear third. THUNDERING HEART broke alertly then rated off of the contested early pace, angled to the rail into the turn, angled out for the stretch drive but could not muster the needed late response. IMTAKINITTOTHEBANK sent to vie for the early lead, engaged with MEMPHIS SLIM along the backstretch while outside of that rival, cut the corner to the turn then vied along the inside nearing the quarter marker, couldn't keep pace into upper stretch then weakened in the final furlong. AHUMADO broke out at the start, was void of early speed and trailed to the turn, swung widest to upper stretch and did not factor in the late stages. THE JOCKEY ON TOM'S SPIRIT LODGED AN OBJECTION AGAINST MEMPHIS SLIM, CLAIMING INTERFERENCE AT THE THREE-EIGHTHS MARKER. THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED THAT OBJECTION AND RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
