Chart notes
RUMBLING stalked the leading pair from outside well off the rail four to five deep, moved closer heading into the far turn, bid past the five-sixteenths, met a challenger in mid-stretch and turned that rival away. TWO STEP JAKE exchanged a bump after the start, was a bit rank between foes into the first turn easing back and switching out, raced well off the inside up the backstretch, advanced turning into upper stretch, bid five wide near the furlong marker but was turned away. SOLOMON VANDY broke inwardly, exchanged a bump soon after, raced last but one off the inside, moved nearer the inside saving ground on the far turn, fanned five wide into upper stretch, ran on. CUTLASS KING went straight to the fore to set the early pace from off the rail, was kept several paths out up the backstretch as a rival came inside to force the pace, dueled on the far turn, weakened in the stretch. SMILE LIKE KYLE shifted in heading into the first turn, moved forward and forced the pace inside, dropped back and faded. ASPIRING COMEDIAN was in tight at the start, trailed, was not a threat. ONE-MILE FRACTION WAS HAND-TIMED.
