Chart notes
JADES JAY set a pressured pace for a half mile, shook free of the pressers to be clear turning for home, was challenged from the inside by the runner-up to vie for the lead in the lane, briefly lost the lead just inside the eighth pole and came again gamely to prevail. DIME PAPI tracked the leader from the rail saving ground through the turn, snuck up the fence to engage the winner in upper stretch, took a brief lead late and was outgamed in deep stretch settling for second best. WANNABEELOVED prompted the early pace from the rail, settled to stalk just off the leaders into the turn, was well placed on the bend, came under an early ride, lacked a late kick and ran-on in the lane to take the show. BAY OF BENGAL pressed the pace from four wide for a half, could not match the winner on the turn and weakened coming home. SPEED CONTROL was reserved off the pace to late in the turn and showed some late interest without impact. OASIS PRINCE raced mid-pack and went evenly lacking a bid. BROTHER BRAD was one-paced failing to menace. FRIOLENTO raced in contention five wide down the backside, was put to an early drive on the turn, failed to respond and faded. AL AMEEQ was not a factor trailing throughout.
