Chart notes
EAST VILLAGE prompt the early leader from the outside, dug in mid stretch and proved best under all out pressure. FINAL THOUGHTS tracked the early pair from the inside racing in hand, angled out five wide through the stretch run and finished gamely to the wire. BAGG O TIME was allowed to settle early to race mid pack, saved ground past the five sixteenths pole, tipped out through the drive, raced six wide near the eighth pole and moved up mildly late to improve position. DEWY'S DENALI raced in a bit tight at the break, trailed early after the poor start, moved up six wide into the upper stretch and needed more in the drive. FAST JOKER set all the pace from the outside and weakened the final eighth of a mile. FITZGERALD raced from the inside around the first turn, raced in tight quarters early down the backstretch, saved ground and had no late bid. MALEVAJE was allowed to settle early, raced two wide through far turn, angled out near the three sixteenths pole and never threatened.
