Chart notes
CLASSIC NOFTY stalked the leaders from the inside, saved ground through the far turn, rallied mid-stretch angling out four wide to the clear and was up in time in a determined drive. OUTSIDER prompted the pace to midway on the final turn, rallied to the lead in mid-stretch, dug-in gamely in the final furlong and was nailed in the final strides. TRIPLE START reserved off th pace to the top of the stretch, swung out five wide and closed fast while drifting out with a belated bid to just miss. FREESTATE set the pace under steady mild pressure to the far turn, responded willingly when engaged on the bend, battled on the lead to mid-stretch and was outfinished late in a good effort. DIVER tracked the leaders to be well placed turning for home and lacked a closing bid fading from contention. HAPPY PRINCE was not a factor.
