Chart notes
GOOSE HUNTER reserved in mid-pack while well in hand, raced along the fence saving ground to the quarter pole, angled seven wide to the clear at the top of the lane and closed with a rush to be up in time. VIA DELLA SPIGA prompted the pace to the far turn, edged up steadily to take command at the head of the stretch and finished well being caught in the shadow of the wire in a gallant effort. R ADMIRAL tracked the leaders to the five-sixteenths to be well placed and rallied with a grinding bid to miss while being best of the rest. DRIFTWOOD set the pace on a clear early lead, maintained control until the head of the lane and ran-on through the stretch weakening late. J P HELLISH unhurried to race well off the pace near the rear and showed good late interest to rally passed weaker in the stretch. TRAVELLER failed to menace. FROSTY THE SOLDIER was well placed in striking distance of the pacesetters midway on the final bend and faded coming home. HARD MISSION was not a factor. NOBLE STAR rated in mid-pack to the final turn and steadily gave way.
