Chart notes
BORDER FOX raced in the second flight early with a rail trip then moved up into contention nearing the 1/2 pole before steadying behind a tiring MESSY RIDING nearing the 3/8 pole but was able to split horses and rally through the stretch to get up in time. CARRICK ON STAGE broke outward and bumped JOSHUA STRIKE at the start then chased the pacesetter into the first turn before assuming command into the second turn and opening up into the stretch then was all out, just getting caught in the shadow of the wire. JOSHUA STRIKE reared then was pinballed at the start by CARRICK ON STAGE and METRO KING before settling in the second flight while rank early between horses, but was able to find room between runners into the stretch and was gaining late. CELESTIAL HEART was void of early speed while racing mid-pack then looked to move for the first time nearing the 5/8 pole but lacked room before looking again for room onto the second turn before being shuffled behind a steadying BORDER FOX then came on again into the stretch and rallied late. PROUDLY CANADIAN rated in the middle of the pack early and tucked in for the run along the backstretch before angling five wide nearing the 3/8 pole and split horses into the stretch, making a mild rally late. METRO KING broke inward and bumped JOSHUA STRIKE at the start then the rider lost the irons briefly but regained them into the first turn before settling near the back of the field early, but was urged along the inside into the second turn and made a mild bid into the stretch. NIGHT STRIKER rated in the second flight early then ranged up and loomed while four wide on the second turn before angling eight wide into the stretch but was carried out nearing the 1/8 pole by a tiring MESSY RIDING and faded late. SANHEDRIN rated in the second flight early with a five wide trip then was asked into the second turn but made no rally late. MESSY RIDING was rushed up and crossed over to set the early pace, leading the field into the second turn then started to tire nearing the 3/8 pole and bothered others behind before drifting out nearing the 1/8 pole. BATTLE WARNING broke outward then was void of speed before angling four wide at the 1/4 pole but came up empty in the stretch. THE RIDER OF CELESTIAL HEART CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF BORDER FOX, ALLEGING INTERFERENCE INTO THE SECOND TURN. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS REVIEW NO CHANGE WAS MADE.
