SPICY BOURBON pressed the early pace on the rail under a snug hold, rated kindly sitting behind the frontrunner waiting for the cue to go from the rider around the bend, pounced shifting out three wide in mid-stretch seizing control and fought on determinedly just holding off a closing inside rival at the finish line for the victory. DESIGN DIVA broke in on the break but was quickly corrected, had the two path part of the quartet sitting in mid-pack, travelled two wide inside a couple of challengers keeping aim on the lead three foes around the oval, skimmed the fence closing in sharply in upper stretch, bid for the lead inside the winner leaving the furlong pole posing a menacing presence late but idled in deep stretch when switching back to the incorrect lead fighting for the front end very late and that could have been the factor just missing for the win at the finish line. BIG IMAGINATION (JPN) narrowly set pace between rivals in the beginning, inched clear at the three quarters marker, rambled on setting an even tempo unchallenged through the turn, continued to hold the top spot on the fence taking the final corner, drifted out relinquishing the lead to the winner at the furlong pole and faded in deep stretch just saving the show money at the wire. STRATOSPHERIC broke in at the start, had rivals on either side while near the rear in the early running, made a smart move three wide around foes at the three eighths pole to be in with a chance six wide straightening out for the stretch drive and ran on willingly late just getting the nod to be a fringe player in the end. BOSS LADY J was bumped then bobbled when the inside rival came out at the start to trail the field along the back straightaway, made little progression taking the shortest way around the oval, swung out widest in the seven path in upper stretch and had good late energy but was nosed out at the wire for a minor placing. TOP OF D MOUNTAIN prompted the issue three deep early on, tracked the lone pacesetter while having the eventual winner inside through the turn running, remained in the hunt four wide at the head of the lane but weakened between foes in the last sixteenth of a mile. BEACH CRICKET could see the field outside three deep midway down the backstretch, made a big circling move five wide around horses in midturn, still fought on determinedly in the five path at the top of the stretch but could not sustain the lengthy run and wilted between rivals in the late going. TOTALLY IN CHARGE had the three path with runners on both sides settling in mid-division, regressed three wide through the turn between foes to be last in the six path clipping heels when turning for home and shifted to the rail passing tired runners outside in the final eighth of a mile. DIVINELY INSPIRED was situated four deep in the middle of the pack, kept pace while going four wide between foes through the bend and could not get involved five wide late having to be checked losing its path at the sixteenth pole taking away all its run. LADY IZZY broke outwards on the start, settled in midfield having the rail position in the early stages, dropped back unable to quicken with foes at the quarter pole and had no finish to give just off the fence in the stretch running.RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #6 TOTALLY IN CHARGE AGAINST #4 STRATOSPHERIC AT THE QUARTER POLE WAS DISALLOWED
