Chart notes
HOOSICK FALLS stalked the early pace before looming up to the leader nearing the 1/4 pole then dug in through the long drive and wore down WHYNOTANOTHERONE late, drawing clear at the wire. WHYNOTANOTHERONE got away alertly and set the pace before being headed by HOOSICK FALLS at the top of the stretch but dug in and ran on late while a clear second. SIGMA BOY rated in the second flight early and chased the leaders through the turn before drifting to the five path at the top of the stretch and made a brief bid but was no match for the top two. RAPID ASCENT raced close up along the inside while under a tight hold nearing the 3/4 pole then saved ground throughout and was asked along the rail into the stretch but just raced evenly late. SHARONS MAXFIELD got brushed at the start when FREDDY FIVE FOUR stumbled out of the gate then rated in the middle of the pack early before being ridden along into the second turn and showed some run late. KING OF SUCCESS was reluctant to load into the gate then was hustled away for position and chased while racing with a four wide trip and flashed brief foot before fading in the second turn. FREDDY FIVE FOUR stumbled at the start then regained footing and raced in the middle of the pack while tucking in to run along the rail then was urged along nearing the 1/2 pole but had no response. PRIZE CANDY was void of early speed while racing off the rail then drifted five wide into the stretch while never threatening. WAR ARTIST got off slowly and awkwardly to be behind the field, was allowed to settle early while saving ground but was never a factor.
