Chart notes
GOLDEN CLUB got off slowly then was rushed up along the inside with the rail trip before slipping through along the rail in the stretch and making a late rally to draw clear in the final sixteenth. LITTLE KING was hustled up and stalked the early pace then altered off the rail at the 1/4 pole and made a bid, closing to be second best. CHISELED IN STONE rated in the middle of the pack and tucked in early for the run into the turn then angled five wide at the top of the stretch and closed willingly. SMOKE RIDER chased the pace and contended through the turn before being asked into the lane and ran on late. HAUNTED HOUSE rated in the middle of the pack early then moved up nearing the 3/8 pole and split horses into the stretch while gaining late. BOTTLED IN BOND rated in the middle of the pack with a rail trip before being asked at the top of the stretch and made a mild rally late. POPPI'S CHARLIE set the early pace while opening up into the stretch before taking a bad step nearing the 1/8 pole then was eased through the wire and vanned off in the equine ambulance post race. HALO HOWIE rated in the second flight early then angled four wide to make a bid between horses into the stretch but faltered late. HALLAGREY reared at the start and missed the break before racing well back early then tucked in to the rail and passed some tiring rivals in the stretch. BO DIDDLEY got off slowly then was void of early speed with a four wide trip before angling eight wide into the stretch but was no factor.
