Chart notes
HOTLINE BLINK prompted the pace to the quarter pole, failed to gain on the leader in upper stretch chasing that one home and assumed command in the final fifty yards when the leader mis-stepped. THALBERG reserved off the pace to the top of the lane and was gaing late with a steady, grinding bid. THUNDER CANE stalked the pace through the turn to be well positioned turning for home and put in a steady rally down the lane while unable to reel-in the leaders. ICEBERG SLIM set the quick pace on a clear lead, responded when called upon turning for home to widen the advantage, appeared home free when he propped losing his balance seventy yards from the wire and recovered without falling to hit the board. THIS LAUGHS ON YOU traacked the leaders to be prominent in upper stretch and weakened through the lane. CAMILO went evenly failing to menace. INCHON was not a factor.
