Chart notes
BARBADIAN RUNNER allowed to settle early, inched closer into the far turn, rallied between foes to upper stretch, closed stoutly to the final sixteenth, took command in deep stretch and proved best. COOKE CREEK sent for the early lead, took command and set moderate fractions to the backstretch, led off of the rail to the quarter marker, kept to task and dug in into the lane, held a clear lead at mid-stretch, couldn't hold off the winner in the final sixteenth but held clearly for second. COOL INTENTIONS went up to stalk the moderate pace into the backstretch, chased COOKE CREEK while two to three wide into the far turn, couldn't make headway to upper stretch, yielded to the top pair in the final sixteenth and held third. BENDOOG off a step slow, moved up into the first turn then tracked the pace while saving ground to the backstretch, came under a drive nearing the quarter marker, flattened out in the stretch drive and was outfinished for third. MAGICAL WAYS lacked early speed, trailed to the half-mile marker and did not factor.
