Chart notes
MOONLIT was allowed to settle off the pace along the inside, trailed briefly midway around the turn before shifting out into the four path at the top of the stretch and sustained a rally to be up in time. NOBLE GLOW brushed with inner foe at the start, found a close up position in the two path for the run up the backstretch, held that position until coming under a ride at the three eighths pole to make a three wide move at the top of the lane to challenge the pace, got in front of GUNS OF ROSES late but was unable to hold off the winner in the final strides. GUNS OF ROSES broke well to vie for the early lead three wide until claiming sole command at the three quarter pole, settled into the two path for the run around the turn, met a bid from NOBLE GLOW at the top of the stretch, fought hard until giving way to that one late as well as the eventual winner. FULL OF TACT moved outward to avoid NOBLE GLOW at the start, trailed up the backstretch and continued three wide through the turn, kept on down the lane to pass tiring rivals. FLYING HAWLEY brushed with outer foe at the start, vied between runners for the first quarter relinquishing command to GUNS OF ROSES, shadowed that rival two wide through the turn until fading in the stretch. HEDGE BOOK vied for the early lead along the inside, conceded the lead after the six furlong marker, continued to chase along the inside of the turn but had no more to give in the stretch.
