Chart notes
BEARA PENINSULA prompted the pace to the far turn, assumed command on the bend from the tiring pacesetter, kicked away to a clear lead in mid-stretch and held well late in the drive. BAYTOWN STORM reserved off the pace for a half mile, commenced a rally with a steady bid leaving the three-eighths pole and closed well only to be denied by the winner in deep stretch settling for second best. PINK CHANNEL stalked the pace to the top ofthe lane and lacked a closing bid finishing evenly. TOO LOOSE LA TREK trailed much of the way and passed weaker coming home without impact. SHAUNNASAPRILFOOL set the pace on a clear lead through the first turn, came under pressure on the backside and gave way midway on the far turn. BAYTOWN MUNNY tracked the leader from the inside down the backstretch, was in tight quarters along the fence at the seven-sixteenths pole dropping to the rear and was not a threat from thereafter.
