Chart notes
ADIOS BUCCANEER reserved off the pace for the first half to race near the rear of the field, rallied on the far turn splitting rivals, angled five wide at the top of the lane and prevailed late over the stubborn runner up. BRILLIANT JOURNEY tracked the leaders down the backside, rallied to engage the pacesetter midway on the final turn, assumed command turning for home and vied with the winner down the lane giving way grudgingly late. RETEKO prompted the pace down the backstretch, rallied on the turn to threaten midway around the bend. loomed prominently turning for home and was outkicked by the top pair in the lane. PASSIONED slow early to be the trailer, remained at the rear through the far turn and showed good late interest with a belated bid to hit the board. MEANT TO BE LUCKY set a fast pace on a clear lead to midway on the final bend and gave way. STARSHIP EMPIRE went evenly failing to meance. TRAVELLER flashed brief speed chasing the quick early pace and was through after a half.
