Chart notes
MAXIMUM FAITH set the pace on a clear, well rationed lead, responded when called upon turning for home to maintain that advantage to midway down the lane and held off the closer in deep stretch. GUITARIST stalked the pacesetter from along the fence through the final bend, tipped out for the drive and found his best stride late to be gaining in deep stretch. KING REIGERT reserved in mid-pack well in hand for the run down the backstretch, rallied to steadily close the gap, loomed midway down the lane and was turned away by the winner. TRIPLE START was slow early to be the trailer, remained at the rear to midway around the final bend and showed some interest with a belated bid down the lane. JIBILIAN reserved to race near the rear of the field and showed mild interest coming home without impact. VAN tracked the leaders to the quarter pole, rallied six wide at the top of the lane and flattened out unable to sustain the rally. OUTSIDER prompted the pace for three-quarters and gave way fading to the rear.
