Chart notes
SHADY TIGER coaxed to the front on the inside, kicked away from JOHN METCALFE on the backstretch, carried a comfortable lead into the stretch, asked right handed in the lane and was ridden out to the wire. GEEZER stalked in the two path around the first turn then dropped out of range, picked up stride while saving ground around the far turn, moved off the fence at the top of the stretch, could not make any headway on the winner in the final furlong but finished willingly to the best the rest. JOHN METCALFE broke in a bit, showed early foot outside SHADY TIGER then stalked that rival into the backstretch, was closest in pursuit to the far turn, chased two wide around the second bend, failed to produce a bid and managed to hold on for third. THE GYPSY COWBOY settled in the four path early on the first turn then moved in a bit around the bend, remained wide up the backstretch, came six wide into the lane and missed third. BRUNCHANDCRUNCH broke a step slow and lost his path at the start, sat off the pace in the four path, went three then four wide around the far turn and failed to menace. PRACTICAL BLAME unhurried along the inside, passed a rival now well off the rail at the half-mile pole, came five wide into the stretch and failed to rally. KEITHING THUNDER tracked three wide to the backstretch, raced out of range in the middle stages, rounded the far turn two to three wide, drifted in approaching the eighth pole and weakened.
