Chart notes
FLATTER TWIST was hustled inside of rivals in the conversation up top on the fence by the five eighths marker, briefly inched clear at the half, dueled with two outside foes up front while taking the shortest way around the bend and determinedly kept of finding more on the fence getting the better of his stablemate in a thrilling stretch battle going nose to nose in the final furlong. FLAXON FALCON broke inwards but was up top when leaving the gate, took back being reined in three deep watching the engaged duo midway along the back straight, edged closer at the half, made a three wide bid outside in midturn, had the three path in the thick of things outside two rivals at the head of the lane and battled on outside stubbornly going eye to eye to the wire but was denied being on the wrong end of the nod at the finish line. SILENT EXPLOSION broke in on the start, was quite keen sitting behind the engaged duo having to be checked on the fence at the half, waited on the rail behind now a contesting trio with a quarter mile from home and in the four path finished up willingly to be a clear but distant third at the wire. THE PENDULUMSWINGS was brushed by the outside foe on the break, vied up top between challengers early on, tracked the leader outside coming up to the half, moved in two wide between foes making it a three pronged battle throughout the turn, was the first of the lead trio to give way arguing on the lead in the two path straightening out for home and ran on evenly in the final furlong for a minor placing. LONGSHOT LEO hopped up on the start, was in tight between horses having to be checked back at the five furlong marker, made a brief move trying to circle around foes four wide midway along the oval, shifted to the five path turning for home but could not sustain the rally and faded in the last eighth of a mile. FLATTER ZIP was getting in with the rider trying to stay a straight course along the backside while sitting in mid-division between foes, chased two wide behind the contesting trio with rivals on both sides at the five sixteenths pole, was driven on for more but could not keep up to runners by the quarter marker and failed to menace in the stretch running. CRIME BOSS veered out on the break, was unhurried outside finding his stride seeing the field down the backstretch, travelled four wide throughout the turn making no impression, shifted out further to the six path for the stretch run but had little to offer in the drive to the wire.
