Chart notes
WILD RED was isolated keeping a close eye on the runaway pacesetter down the backside, started to measure the frontrunner reeling her in at the three eighths pole, pounced four wide at the quarter pole taking control with no resistance offered by the early leader by the three sixteenths marker and was kept to the task with the rider staying busy in the final furlong to hold safe staving off the outside rival in deep stretch. GO GIFFEN had the outside sitting close to the back end, made a little progress on the turn circling three wide outside rivals, angled to the six path picking up the bit sharply at the top of the stretch, posed the only opposition to the winner in the final furlong but could not get by for the win outside in deep stretch while still easily besting the rest for the secondary prize in the late going. READY TO BATTLE leapt up at the start spotting the field, continued to gallop along on the rail at the tail end through the running around the bend, skimmed the fence taking the final corner and had a good late rally inside of foes in the last furlong to get up winning the show battle in the final few strides. PRETTY LIZA was forwardly positioned tracking the front two runners down the backstretch and throughout the turn, moved out to the four path in the mix in upper stretch and finished up well enough between rivals but was nabbed by the late closing inside runner losing the show award nearing the finish line. ENGLISH JUBILEE had the inside position from another near the rear down the backside, closed the gap smartly in the four path between horses at the quarter pole, angled to the five path at the furlong marker getting to the outside but needed a bit more in the late going when getting outfinished by a couple of inside rivals for the show award. WORLD SHOWCASE travelled in mid-pack with the field strung out along the backside, narrowed the margin around the turn, had the three path in with a chance just back off the winner at the top of the lane, had to alter course outside losing its path due to the leg weary early leader drifting out at the furlong marker and offered little rally when clear in the late stages. SILENT PATSY settled down the backside having only the poor starter beaten in the early going, shifted out at the three furlong pole, moved out further to be widest in the seven path for the stretch drive but had no impact in the late running. SHINING SILVER was loose on the engine down the backside, rolled along setting a lively pace unchallenged around the turn, had no answer when collared outside by the winner at the quarter pole and ran out of gas stopping between horses at the furlong marker.
