Chart notes
WHATWOMENWANT broke alertly to set the pace, drew clear in the final turn and was geared down in the late stages. CALL THE CAVALRY raced in second flight, was asked to quicken while three wide leaving the backstretch, swung five wide at the head of the stretch, rallied determinedly for second place and finished second in a dead heat with WHERE'S THE GOLD. WHERE'S THE GOLD lagged early, circled the field in the last turn, and rallied steadily to finish in a dead heat for second with CALL THE CAVALRY. CURLIN ROCKS was gapped early, drove three wide in the final turn and lodged a late bid. VANTASTICCANAVERAL was three wide in the first turn, and rallied mildly in the drive. HANGIN' TUFF trailed the field, and showed a mild interest late. MAN AT THE PULPIT chased four wide in the far turn, drove six wide at the head of the stretch, and came up empty in the drive. JULIUS THE GREAT angled in gradually going by the front side, stalked the pace from just off the rail, drifted out in the final turn after giving chase to the eventual winner and wilted. MR MIEZIE was outsprinted to the opening turn, stalked the pace and stopped.
