Chart notes
ARTISLAS led along the inside under pressure from ASTRONOMER, inched clear on the backstretch, came under threat from ASTRONOMER once again on the far turn, maintained a short lead into the lane, put ASTRONOMER away for good at the eighth pole and was kept busy to the wire. ASTRONOMER pressed from outside around the clubhouse turn, remained close from outside up the backstretch, challenged ARTISLAS again on the far turn, fought to upper stretch, lost contact with the leader with a furlong remaining and stayed on for a clear second. TWIRLING POINT tracked in the two path, went three deep around the far turn and finished evenly through the lane to earn the show honors. ENDLESSLY settled inside, chased between rivals in the two path into and around the far turn and lacked rally when called upon. NESSO'S LASTHARRAH lifted slightly at the start but still came away with the field, stalked the top pair along the rail, checked briefly approaching the five-eighths pole, chased next to the fence through the far turn and weakened in the final furlong.
