Chart notes

GROOVINHARMONY prompted the pace on the outside from the onset, continued to battle outside two wide arguing for the front end around the bend, moved in finally to seize command at the furlong pole and edged away from the stubborn frontrunner for the win in the last sixteenth of a mile. YERWAN had a slim lead on the inside down the backstretch, remained up top narrowly on the fence throughout the turn, dug in determinedly inside the winner holding on in upper stretch, relinquished the lead at the furlong pole, tried to counter until the sixteenth marker but gave way grudgingly inside in deep stretch. GOLDA had a poor start veering in and off a step slow on the break, was hustled improving up the fence in the early stages to track the lead duo by the half, chased the lead pair saving all the ground around the bend, scarped paint continuing an inside run at the head of the lane, moved outside in the final furlong and kept on trying to the very end to be a non-threatening but clear third at the wire. ANY OSCAR settled in midfield along the backside, came under a drive on the fence just trying to hold position around the oval, shifted to the two path at the tip of the lane and finished up with good intent to close in late getting up for a minor role in the end. LA DIVA was away slowly leaving the gate, rushed up four deep outside horses down the backside to be in the second flight outside with a half mile remaining, closed the gap two wide still coming on at the quarter pole but could not offer a finishing kick when flattening out on the fence in the final furlong. IMSOSPICY broke a step slowly on the break, was situated close to the back end three deep in the early going, advanced four wide outside horses through the bend, drifted out to the five path in upper stretch but could only finish up one paced in the final furlong. EMPIRE'S FLAME settled near the rear with runners on either side, made a brief run three wide around a couple of runners from the five sixteenths pole until the top of the stretch but could not continue the run in the four path down the lane and failed to menace in the late stages. JOAN JETTHER broke with the pack but quickly dropped back to be a long last at the half, made no gain seeing the field travelling three wide on the bend, was allowed to drift out to the seven path by the rider straightening out for home and could not factor in the drive to the finish line. VEGAS VICKIE was scrubbed on down the backside chasing the contesting twosome, retreated steadily between horses three wide through the turn and had little left in the tank giving way through the stretch drive. LOUNROBIN broke inwards on the start, settled close to the back inside runners while being roused when the field was sorting itself out midway along the backside, remained under a busy ride but was going the wrong way in midturn, skimmed the fence turning for home but had nothing left to offer in the stretch running.
