Chart notes
TIHO SRCE advanced on the rail with his neck bowed seizing command easily midway down the backstretch inside two runners, travelled very comfortable on the engine in hand up top throughout the turn, had the two path opening up at will with just a shake of the rider's hands, was tapped a couple of times in the final furlong just to stay focused on the task and won easily proving much the best at the wire. JOE WEST had the two path inside another sitting behind the engaged trio down the backside, took closer by the half tracking the lead duo, ranged up on the outside three wide around the bend posing a threat by the quarter pole, angled to the four path in the hunt briefly in upper stretch, was no match for the winner by the furlong pole but did gut it out outside two others in the late going to be second best. MIGHTY TANNER broke inwards but was still away alertly on the start, argued outside three deep down the backside early on, chased in vain two wide with rivals on both sides around the oval, still had the two path between runners battling for only a secondary share midway down the lane and showed some grit getting the nose down right on the line for the show money. FLYONBYE had a slim lead between foes in the beginning, relinquished the front end to the inside rival at the nine sixteenths pole to be inside another tracking at the half, was scrubbed on making little headway on the fence at the quarter pole, hugged the rail dueling inside two others in mid-stretch with the winner well ahead by then but could not find more in the late going and was outfinished capturing only a minor placing in the end. LAWYER MASON broke outwards brushing the gate on the start, dropped back to the tail end entering the backstretch, remained at the rear seeing the field in the turning running, shifted out widest in the five path turning for home and could only manage to pass a weary runner inside right at the wire. EUBANK had the three path outside having only one runner beaten in the early stages, made little impression three wide on the turn even though urged on for more right-handed by the rider offering no response leaving the five sixteenths pole, shifted to the three path for the stretch drive but had little to give down the lane.
