Chart notes
LOTTA GEMS had the two path ahead of only the troubled starter in the early stages, edge up narrowing the margin at the half, saved all the ground through the turn moving in smartly at the quarter pole, pounced skimming the rail at the top of the stretch, took over control inside at the furlong marker and won going away in the end. BEAUTIFUL THINGS was forwardly placed on the fence drafting behind the pacesetter down the backside, shifted out in midturn two wide taking aim on the frontrunner, angled out three wide in the thick of things outside two rivals taking the corner and finished up well enough but could not accelerate as much as the winner in the final furlong. C C'S DREAM was sharp out of the gate clearing away on the front end, rolled along unopposed down the backside, was nudged along well in control through the turn, had the two path just clinging onto the lead between closing in rivals straightening out for home, offered no resistance to the charging winner inside at the furlong pole and faded slightly in deep stretch to be a clear third at the finish line. DEANNA veered out sharply on the break trailing the group down the backside, started to make a run picking up an outside foe at the three eighths pole, shifted outside to the three path in midturn gathering more speed by the quarter marker, moved to the four path in with a chance for a piece of the prize in upper stretch but could only finish up evenly down the stretch for a minor share at the wire. HOLY ANITA had runners on either side sitting in the second flight, was ridden on for more two wide but was beginning to back away at the three eighths marker, shifted to the three path for the stretch drive but could not factor down the lane. RED HIGH HEELS settled in midfield four deep down the back straightaway, dropped back on the outside to be at the rear with three furlongs from home, moved out seeing the field four wide at the top of the stretch but did manage to come on catching a straggler in the late running. BELLALINA travelled three deep on the outside watching the lone pacesetter, was coaxed along for more three wide around the turn just trying to hold position chasing the leader, gave way drifting out to the six path at the head of the lane and emptied out in the stretch drive.
