Chart notes
ADIR broke outwards soon after leaving the gate, settled into a good rhythm tracking the loose leader down the backside and around the turn, rallied on the fence in upper stretch taking closer order, darted up the rail at the furlong pole taking over control with a sixteenth still to run and drew away smartly for the win in the late going. YOSHII was bumped on the inside soon after the start, rated kindly in tandem with an inside foe keeping a close eye on the runaway leader throughout, moved in coming with a run four wide at the top of the lane, seized control switching leads outside two others at the furlong pole but could not find another gear late when unable to fend off the late inside charge by the winner in the final sixteenth of a mile. YOU MULE broke outwards on the start, shared the rear outside midway along the back straightaway, was a solo last three wide seeing the field at the half, swung out widest in the six path starting to reach for more ground, found his best stride late and rushed home in the final furlong to be a clear third while closing in sharply late on the top two rivals as well. GONE WITH DUWYN was away alertly isolated up top down the backstretch, continued to ramble on quickening the tempo loose on the engine around the bend, moved out two wide for the stretch running, had no answer when engulfed on both sides surrendering the lead coming to the furlong pole but did find just a bit more in deep stretch to last between horses to settle on the fringes in the end. PRINCE ALMASTY travelled on the outside of another in the middle of the pack, angled to the three path for the stretch running, made a brief spurt narrowing the margin on the lead trio at the eighth pole while holding position keeping an inside rival from wanting to move outside but could not get into contention anymore when evening out in the late running. CYCLONE TAYLOR was paired up inside sitting in midfield in the early stages, hugged the rail starting to make a move at the quarter pole, angled to the two path trying to find a clear lane but had no running room behind horses having to be throttled down for a moment at the furlong marker, angled in getting to the rail in deep stretch but failed to fire late. COPA DE PLATA sat all alone down the backstretch having a couple of poor starters beaten in the early going, offered no movement inside around the oval, shifted to the four path in upper stretch, closed the gap while ridden for more at the three sixteenths pole but could not get involved any further when tiring in the last furlong. EXTRAORDINARY ONE (GB) was taken a hold off with the inside runner breaking out on the start, co-trailed on the outside in mid-backstretch, made little progress going two wide around the bend, shifted out to the five path for the lengthy stretch drive but could not be a factor.
