Chart notes
THESE APPLES stalked the pace through the turn, rallied five wide turning for home, enagaged the leaders midway down the lane and kicked away in the final sixteenth. HALF BIRTHDAY pressed the pace for a half, rallied to vie for the lead in mid-stretch and was outkicked late by the closing winner having to settle for second best. ANHINGA set the pace under steady pressure while well measured, dueled through the stretch and weakened inside the final eighth being unable to match the top pair. COURAGEOUS ARI reserved off the pace to be near the rear, rallied mildly turning for home and was along to hit the board without impact. TOUR JETE trailed most of the way and showed some late interest while posing no threat. FIELDS OF GREEN chased the leaders for a half mile and came up empty for the stretch drive.
