Chart notes
ARRASOU was bumped at the start, pressed the pace outside of a rival, bid in early stretch and was clear under steady urging. SWEET SCORECARD pressed the early pace, settled, angled to the four path on the turn and had a mild late bid. FAT CHANCE led inside in the two path, lost the lead and came in near the eighth pole, bothering a rival. PICKLE SHOES raced in the two path and checked near the eighth pole to avoid a fallen horse. MOMBAYLA trailed. WINDY BAY was off awkwardly, stalked the early pace in the four path and faded near the three-eighths pole. SHANGHAI EXPRESS saved ground, was making a move near the eighth pole, was bumped and lost the rider, but got back on her feet and was able to walk back to her barn. FOLLOWING A STEWARDS' INQUIRY, FAT CHANCE WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED SIXTH FOR INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH TO SHANGHAI EXPRESS.
