ATHENAEUM was bumped at the start, saved ground, angled to the three path near the half-mile pole, bid near the three-eighths pole, rallied through the stretch and was in time under a steady drive. WHAKAARI bore out at the start, was clear early and was caught at the wire. COVER ART was bumped at the start, raced in the three path, was taken up near the three-quarters pole, continued in the three path, rallied on the far turn but had no late gain. SUCCY'S SONG raced in the two path but had no late bid. BURN BRIGHTLY stalked the pace in the two path, bid near the quarter pole but faltered in the stretch. MARTINE raced evenly in the three path.
