Chart notes
IN SPITE OF IT angled out to the three-path coming off the first turn, was close up for the run down the backstretch, went after LA BELLA BELLA on the lead midway through the turn, took command in upper stretch, and drew clear late as much the best. LA BELLA BELLA made the lead and slowed the pace, kicked on after passing the half-mile pole, could not go with the winner in the stretch but held clear to be second best. SOPHISTICAT was off poorly, settled well off the early pace, raced wide through the far turn, and stayed on to gain third. INDIAN EXCELLENCE gave an even effort. CHAINSAW CITY lacked any early speed, raced near the back of the field through the early stages, then improved in the stretch. TRUE LOVIN got an inside trip into the first turn, kept to that path while racing close up to the stretch, then lacked a late kick. LOOKATHERGLIDE settled in behind the pace for a half mile, was unable to kick on as the pace picked up going into the far turn, and did not offer a late bid. LOOKOUT PASS was done after a half-mile. LA VIKINA chased the pace then weakened midway through the far turn.
