Chart notes
MAD BANKER raced in the four path around the first turn, stalked the leader on the outside up the backstretch, continued around the far bend in the four path, began a bid entering the stretch, gained ground late while drifting in slightly and got up for the win. FROSTY THE GIANT raced in the two path around the first turn, led the way up the backstretch, came around the far turn still in the two path, drifted out several lanes in the stretch, bumping with HAGRID'S FLAME in the process and was caught late. HAGRID'S FLAME raced in the three path early, tracked the leader on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the far turn still in the three path, raced into traffic and was bumped by FROSTY THE GIANT in the final furlong, was forced to take up and chased on from there. CAPO raced off the pace in the two path through the opening half mile, navigated the far turn from the three path and made no bid. ZAPATA (IRE) saved ground around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, continued to save ground around the second bend and tired in the stretch. THE RIDER OF HORSE FIVE, HAGRID'S FLAME, CLAIMED FOUL ON BOTH HORSE SIX, MAD BANKER, AND HORSE FOUR, FROSTY THE GIANT, CITING INTERFERENCE IN LATE STRETCH. UPON REVIEW, HORSE FOUR, FROSTY THE GIANT, WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACED THIRD.
