Chart notes
JACKSON HEIGHTS dropped back early then settled well behind at the rear, was roused in the two then three path on the turn, rallied in the four path into the stretch, closed well to get the lead outside the sixteenth-pole and prevailed while waiting on horses under confident handling to the finish. NANTZ was hustled to the front, showed the way off the inside while in hand, went around the turn in the two path, was asked nearing the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, led until outside the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while clear for the place. EXPENSIVE CUT settled off the pace, saved ground while roused on the turn, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response while best of the rest. SCREAMING UNCLE followed the leader from second, came under urging before the five-eighths pole, made a bid nearing the nine-sixteenths pole, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back outside the seven-sixteenths pole and tired. LAUGHING BOY dropped back early then angled to the far outside, dropped back in the four then three path on the turn and capitulated.
