Chart notes

EXONERATE was rated along the inside, continued along in hand patiently until swinging out six wide at the quarter-pole, sustained a drive that claimed command approaching the final sixteenth and drew clear. CITY NIGHTS raced behind the pace on the inside for the first turn, backed off into the middle of the pack for the run up the backstretch, started asking around the three-eighths, shifted out while carrying ROSSBEIGH at the five-sixteenths, was able to get around retreating rivals in the upper stretch before repositioning alongside the rail afterwards, took charge briefly before being overtaken by the eventual winner approaching the sixteenth, just held for the place honors. LIGHT CAV got squeezed back shortly after the start and trailed going into the first turn, continued at the back of the pack until splitting runners at the five-sixteenths and taking to the outside of the stretch, put together an impressive rally that just missed the place award. ROSSBEIGH took hold early as PRINTER'S ALLEY crossed in approaching the first turn, continued in the middle of the pack two wide, got nudged along around the three-eighths pole and was carried out a bit by CITY NIGHTS, entered the lane in a competitive position five wide but got out-finished. PRINTER'S ALLEY was fractious in the starting gate, broke on top and crossed in to attend the pace two wide entering the first turn, continued in that position up the backstretch and coaxing along through the far turn, came under a ride three wide entering the stretch to claim a brief lead before being swallowed up in the final stages. BERMAN saved ground to track the pace three wide through the first turn, shifted into the two path for the run up the backstretch, launched a four wide bid rounding the far turn to be in contention but faded in the final furlong. MOSCONI raced off the pace along the inside, shifted out four wide in the stretch but had little to show in the stretch. NOBLE ONE raced off the pace two wide, began nudging along around the five-eighths pole and advancing three wide in the far turn but came up empty in the stretch. MAXIMUM HEAT chased the pace between runners through the first turn, shifted in as the rail opened up for the run up the backstretch, attempted an inside bid around the quarter but had no room to do so and got shuffled back as EPICO began his retreat, was already far out of it by the time he was able to shift out into an open lane. EPICO took charge along the inside before the first turn, continued along in attendance up the backstretch and far turn, started asking approaching the quarter pole but had no response, retreated fast down the lane to ease across and walk off.
