Chart notes

MARGIN OF AIR settled mid-pack after the break, gradually closed in on the leaders heading into the turn while being confidently handled, quickly took command leaving the three-furlong pole, opened up in the stretch and maintained a comfortable margin to the wire while under mild handling. HEARD ON THESTREET had to be coaxed along early to remain in contact with the field, advanced to be in range of the leaders on the turn, came out three-wide for the drive, finished well but could not get to the winner. MAGICNTHEMOONLIGHT broke best to take the early lead, shook free late on the turn, but weakened in mid-stretch. A VOTRE SANTE hustled away but was not quick enough to join the early pace battle, started to lose ground on the turn and was under a stiff drive just to maintain position. BEJUCO was outrun through the early stages, then kept on well enough to pass one tired rival. BOLTAGE pressed the pace two to three wide, then weakened in the stretch.
