Chart notes
MAGIC SPIN was a bit slow to get going, moved up between horses approaching the three-furlong pole to press the leader, split horses in upper stretch and responded to strong handling to collar the leader and edge clear in the final yards. THE JUDGE AND JURY jumped out to the early lead, dug in under threat on the turn, maintained the lead through the stretch, then yielded grudgingly in the last jumps. SUPER TIZ tracked just off the pace three-wide, launched a bid under a drive from the three-furlong pole, loomed at the top of the stretch, but flattened a bit in the late stages and was not doing enough to pose a threat. BOSS HOLIDAY got away well and stalked the pace from the inside, came under a ride midway through the turn, but lacked the needed response. FEDERAL EXCHANGE tracked four-wide not far off the pace, came under a ride late on the turn and was unable to mount a late bid. CAPPETTA took back out of traffic near the five-furlong pole, then lacked a rally.
