Chart notes
DON'S LAST RIDE was last at the break, steadily advanced through the turn, followed DRAFT RIOTS past the field on the turn, then produced a strong rally to collar that rival inside the sixteenth marker and win clear. DRAFT RIOTS was bothered by CHUCKY OUR LAW at the start and shuffled back, made a sweeping move three-wide on the turn to take over the lead past the quarter pole, was well clear of the field in upper stretch but could not hold off the winner. GALLANT CREEK vied for the early lead, took the lead past the three-furlong pole but was immediately challenged by DON'S LAST RIDE, then went evenly through the stretch to save the minor award. ABITOFSANDY lacked any early foot and dropped back to last, far behind the rest, kept to the inside, and stayed on to pass a couple of tired foes while never a serious threat. CHUCKY OUR LAW broke out at the start into the path of the outer rival, jhustled up into the early pace mix, then weakened near the quarter pole and had little to offer in the stretch. SOAR ABOVE pressed the pace three-wide, weakened before the stretch, and was not a factor in the late stages.
