Chart notes
I GOT MURPHED was away alertly having the lead in the beginning, took back having the rail position inside another tracking the pacesetter when the field sorted itself out midway along the back straightaway, crept up on the fence around the oval, shaved the corner in the thick of things at the top of the stretch, had to shift out to the two path with the leader drifting to the rail with three sixteenths to go, fought on relentlessly between horses in the final furlong and under a strong ride by her rider in the last sixteenth of a mile found just a bit more between foes very late inching away for the gutsy win. CHARMINGLY EVASIVE improved outside of runners keeping a close eye on the frontrunner with five furlongs from home, travelled just off the rail measuring the lone speed rival around the turn, moved in three wide making a bid outside at the head of the lane, kept chipping away at the leaders advantage through the drive, poked a head in front for a fleeting moment at the sixteenth pole but could not match strides with the winner inside in deep stretch. SPA PROSPECTOR broke out leaving the gate, moved up taking a clear advantage up top by the five furlong marker of the backstretch, rolled along unopposed around the turn well in hand, had the two path holding on between foes at the quarter pole, was on the fence clinging onto the front end with three sixteenths to go having three outside rivals bearing down, fought on stubbornly until deep stretch but faded ever so slightly and gave away grudgingly inside very late to only capture the show money. LUZ DE LA LUNA broke inwards on the start, settled into stride in the third flight outside another midway down the backside, improved into the turn while going two wide keeping aim on the lead three rivals around the bend, took closer order briefly four wide outside the embattled trio in upper stretch but could only run on one paced in the final furlong for a minor award. WOOTEN WARRIOR (IRE) pressed the issue on the fence initially, dropped back having only the troubled starter beaten at the five eighths pole, made no progression near the rear throughout the turn, angled to the three path for the drive to the wire but lacked a rally down the stretch. CARA CARA was sandwiched between runners on the break settling at the back of the pack under a snug hold down the backside, saved all the ground early on the turn but was still lagging at the rear, shifted outside at the three eighths pole, swung out widest in the six path turning for home but failed to fire in the stretch running.
