Chart notes
BIZ WHIZ , under firm rating and towards the inside stalking early on, eased out leaving the far turn, rolled up three deep under confident handling to take over past the five sixteenths, was guided out to about the five path when clearing off into the lane then pulled away while well within himself. EDELWEISS bobbled at the break, recovered and edged up three wide between foes to reach contention, tapered in a bit while applying more pressure past the half, gained a slim lead leaving the three eighths, was unable to contain the winner past the five sixteenths, gave willing chase from the head of the lane and dug down to save the place. MAUPANSANT , a bit fractious leaving the paddock and entering the track, settled off the pace while saving ground, was under a ride leaving the far turn, worked outward in the drive and churned on. BAD BOY BUTCH broke a step slow, was used five wide to contention, prompted four wide outside foes leaving the five eighths, failed to kick on around the final turn and faded. ICE SHOT , off the pace and well off the inside, shifted out six to seven wide for the drive and failed to rally. RED SPITFIRE cleared early, set the pace towards the inside, took pressure into the far turn, sparred inside rivals past the three eighths, failed to find more in upper stretch and faltered.
