Chart notes
TWOMBLY broke alertly and contested the early pace from the inside, pressed the decent pace to the quarter marker then took command to upper stretch, dug in to the furlong marker then held the runner-up at bay in the late stages to prove best. REVEALING crowded and squeezed at the start, recovered to track the early leaders from the second flight, went up to stalk the pace three wide nearing the quarter marker, vied to upper stretch, continued to pressure the winner into the final furlong but couldn't get by that one and was a clear second. PHILADELPHIA ROLL took a bump from an outer rival at the start then settled off of the contested early pace, saved ground nearing the quarter marker then into upper stretch, couldn't impact the top pair past mid-stretch but stayed on well late and was a clear third. QUEEN OFTHE COSMOS showed good speed from the gate, engaged with TWOMBLY in the early stages then set a contested pace while outside of that rival heading to the turn, came under pressure at the quarter marker then overtaken to upper stretch, chased the leading pair past mid-stretch then yielded late. PRINCESS CLEO lunged at the start and was off a step slowly, recovered to track the early pace from the second flight, chased three then four wide to the quarter marker, was outkicked into the stretch then weakened in the late stages. EXPLOSIVE RUN stumbled leaving the start, settled off of the early pace then coaxed two wide into the turn, angled out to upper stretch then lacked the needed late response. GROOVY N GRAY stumbled then broke out at the start, settled outside of runners in the early stages, took a wide path into the turn, was outrun to the quarter marker then came up empty in the stretch drive.
